At Home Facial!

There’s nothing like getting pampered at a Spa but that can get pricey! So at your next sleepover with your friends have, give yourselves a great treat with your own home-made facials! Here are some quick and easy tips on how to do that:

1. Cleanse your skin. Bring out your Clean and Clear Facial Cleanser and wash your face thoroughly of all that muck! It give you the kind of clean your teen skin needs.

2. Exfoliate. Using your fingers and rub a gentle exfoliating scrub in a circular motion around your face. Make sure to get those stubborn areas like your forehead and your nose.

3. Steam. Fill your sink with warm water and dip a washcloth in and press it to your face to open your pores. Repeat this 2-3 times.

4. Get your mask on. For oily skin, you better use a clay-based face mask. Remember, don’t move your face once that mask is on, so that means, no talking for about 20-30 minutes! Rinse the mask off thoroughly!
5. Moisturize. Bring out your Clean and Clear Facial Moisturizer for that finishing touch! Now you and your friends will have that fresh glow that will last all week!

Scrapbook

It’s the start of a school year and the beginning of another great chapter in your life! Don’t just record it with pictures, tell the story of the year through a Scrap Book! Here are some quick and easy tips for making a great scrapbook you can cherish for a long time.

1. Be organized. Your going to be collecting a lot of photographs and scraps throughout the year so it’s best to start making categories early or even while you’re taking the pictures. Make boxes marked SCHOOL or FAMILY or your FAVORITE HANGOUT where you can store those memories and bring them out when you need it.

2. Use Quality Paper. Only use a scrapbook with paper that’s acid-free. The acid on certain papers will eventually make the paper break down and turn brittle. What’ll happen to all your work when you want to go down memory lane in the coming years? With something so nice and beautiful, you have to make sure that it lasts so only use the best stuff. That goes for the glue you use too.

3. Matte your photos! What’s matting, you might ask? Well it’s those cute borders made of colored (and acid-free) construction paper around your photos. Cut them out and make great shapes. Choose colors that really bring the picture to life.

It’s a lot of work, but at the end of the year, you’ll have a beautiful scrapbook that you and your friends can look over and enjoy.

Face Your First Day of School

Whether you’re required to wear a uniform or dress casually for school, you still have the license to accessorize! Here’s a list of the must-haves for the start of a bright new school year.

1. Every girl loves an eye-catching bag but make sure that it’s practical too. Grab a bag that’s sturdy enough to carry all your stuff! From that heavy Physics book to extra hair ties to rulers and face powder, make sure that bag can get you around campus hassle free!

2. Pile on school-worthy bangles! Aside from wearing your wristwatch, have some bangles and friendship bracelets on one arm that have colors that surely pop out! Mix and match colors and patterns on your arm to make a fun and vibrant statement.

3. Don’t forget to protect your eyes. Shield your peepers from the sun with your favorite style of sunglasses. Vintage is in right now as Aviators and Wayfarers make a comeback in eyewear fashion. Sunglasses always come in handy for whether the sun is out or for those days you just want to stay incognito. Whatever the case, just make sure to do it in style!

First Day Prep

It’s school time once again after months of being on vacation so welcome back to the grind! Here are some quick tips that will help you ease out of that summer “hangover” in no time!

1. Before school starts, make sure to gather your friends for one last hurrah. Have a grand sleepover at your house, go play a game of laser tag or have a school supplies shopping spree to end the summer with a bang!

2. On the night before the first day of classes, prepare a list of expectations for yourself that you can easily commit to. For example, jotting down “I will no longer sleep during class hours and get caught” or “I will do all my homework”, and the like. Having your very own list at the beginning of the school year can help keep you in check of the goals you have set for yourself and actually fulfill them.

3.  Right before class starts on the first day of school itself, be sure to focus. There’s going to be a lot of distractions and new and exciting happenings in school that may not have anything to do with studying. You have to remember that you’ve got to keep a good balance between work and play so you can get through school right.

How to Face Your Crush

Ever been in a situation where for the first time, your long-time crush actually spoke to you and you wound up stuttering? Or worse—what if you just stood there and said nothing? You probably felt like you wanted the whole world to swallow you up at that very moment! Don’t fret, all you need is a boost of confidence and a few helpful tips:

1. Boys are more frightened of you than you are of them! Yup, it’s a secret that our crushes keep deep down inside but it’s true – boys are frightened little teddy bears in front of the opposite sex. Know that you have the upper hand from the get-go and just calmly wait for him to make his move. He may even need some help, so add a few encouraging signs as he fumbles.

2. K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple, Silly). Your first topic of conversation isn’t going to be anything earth shattering. Don’t try to impress him with big words or grand ideas, remember, he’s probably already scared of you! As always, the ball is in his court – just let him hit it towards your side and hit back gently and lightly so he can hit it back with ease – that’s how to keep a conversation rolling which brings us to Tip No. 3!

3. Although you’ve heard this quite a few times, the saying remains true—be yourself. Answer in a cool, calm, and collected manner as opposed to that big, toothy, “caught off-guard” moment. Forget that you have been crushing on him since forever and treat him as you would an old chum. Remember, you’re best remembered for being uniquely you.

Keeping Healthy in the Rain

When classes keep getting suspended it only means one thing ‹ the rainy
season is here once again! Even if some of us enjoy the rain
pitter-pattering on the windows and enjoy the indoors better than being
drenched outside, the rainy season is also known to get the better of us by
bringing on the sniffles! Here are some quick and easy tips to stay healthy
during the season.

1. KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN. To make sure we can keep being fab, we¹ve got
to protect ourselves from germs and bacteria. Always maintain good hygiene
and make sure that your hands are always clean and germ-free. Remember to
wash your hands every once in awhile with soap and water or rub them down
with an anti-bacterial hand sanitizer when on the go, especially before
meals.

2. KEEP THE VITAMINS COMING. Fight off all those icky germs with a daily
dose of Vitamin C & multivitamin supplements. You can also do this by
eating nutritious foods like green, leafy vegetables and citrus fruits.
Avoid your favorite high-calorie junk food. It¹s a big sacrifice but, in
the end, totally worth it.

3. KEEP ACTIVE INDOORS! Sure, the rains may have stopped you from joggingand doing other fun outdoor stuff, but that doesn¹t mean you should stop moving! An active body is a healthy one so find ways to keep moving even in the house. Pick up a Pilates video, do some jump rope, or even just give
your room a good spring cleaning you¹ll work up a good sweat AND enjoy having a room that¹s spick and span!

Face the Rainy Days

Hey girls, the rainy days are here again but the gloomy weather forecast is
no reason to be blue. Here are four ways to keep looking OH-SO-FAB even
during a downpour.

1. BRING OUT THE FALL FASHION. Heavy rains are coming, so you better
keep your coats and jackets handy. It¹s also an awesome chance to
experiment with new looks. Make a statement and go crazy with all sorts of
colors and prints that you can mix and match with your outfit. Not only
will your jacket make you look good, it will also keep you warm and comfy
from the chilly monsoon breeze.

2. PRACTICAL FOOTWEAR: We know how you love your flip flops and strappy
sandals, but it¹s time to trade those in for shoes that can make a better
job of keeping that dirty street water out. Stay away from shoes made of
cloth, they¹ll just get ruined and attract more water to your feet. Your
best choice for the rains is flat leather or rubber shoes. Just make sure
you wear the cutest ones from your collection!

3. OF COURSE, IT¹S UMBRELLA TIME! The worst way to start your day in
school is to come in dripping wet so never leave home without an umbrella!
Choose a sturdy one that won¹t flip over in the wind that would be SO
embarrassing! Make sure it¹s small enough to fit in your bag but big
enough for you to share with your crush!

4. KEEP UV PROTECTED. No matter how grey the day, UV rays are still out
there! Keep yourself protected with your Clean and Clear Moisturizer with
SPF 15. Don¹t leave home with out it!
